Sharing Projects

Invite project collaborators and use TodoTicked's project invitation and task-submission links safely.

TodoTicked supports team projects and project-level sharing. It also offers temporary task-submission links. These links serve different purposes and grant different access.

Create a team project

  1. Open Teams, then select the team.
  2. Open the Projects tab.
  3. Select New Project.
  4. Enter the project details and create it.

This associates the project with the team workspace. You can then use the project's sharing controls to manage its collaborators.

Invite project collaborators by email

  1. Open the project.
  2. Open Project Sharing.
  3. Select the Members tab.
  4. Enter one or more email addresses.
  5. Send the invitations.

Pending project invitations appear in the same area. An owner or admin can cancel a pending invitation before it is accepted.

Use a project invitation link

Project Sharing can also enable an invitation link that lets a person with the link join the project. Copy the link only when this behavior is appropriate.

Warning: A project invitation link can grant project membership. Share it only through a trusted channel, and disable it when it is no longer needed.

Project member roles

Project membership uses three roles:

RolePurpose
OwnerControls the project and its membership
AdminHelps invite and manage project members
MemberCollaborates on the project's work

Project owners can change project member roles. Owners and admins can invite or remove project members.

Temporary task-submission links

The Share Links tab creates a different kind of link. It lets someone add tasks to a project without signing in. It does not provide a public view of the project and does not grant general project editing access.

When creating a task-submission link, you can configure:

  • An expiration from one hour to 30 days
  • An optional maximum number of uses
  • A per-IP submission rate limit

The Share Links tab shows link activity and lets you revoke an active link.

Use project invitations for collaborators who need project access. Use task-submission links only when someone needs to submit work without seeing the project.

Project notifications

Project members can configure in-app and email notifications for:

  • Tasks added
  • Tasks edited
  • Tasks completed
  • Tasks deleted
  • Task comments

Open the Notifications tab in Project Sharing to adjust the available preferences for your membership.

Review access safely

  • Review project members and pending invitations regularly.
  • Remove accounts that no longer need access.
  • Disable unused project invitation links.
  • Revoke expired or unnecessary task-submission links.
  • Use comments and mentions for discussion tied to a task.

For team-wide invitations, see Inviting Team Members.
