Momentum Goals, Points, and Streaks

Build a completion-focused routine with goals, levels, trends, days off, and vacation mode.

Momentum is free and opt-in. Turn it on from Productivity → Momentum. Defaults are five completed tasks per day, 25 per week, Saturday and Sunday off, and celebrations enabled.

You earn 10 points the first time a task is completed, plus 5 when a dated task is completed by the end of its due day. Meeting a daily goal for the first time earns 25 points; meeting a weekly goal earns 100. Uncompleting and recompleting a task does not award points again.

After turning on Momentum, you may choose Backfill Last 7 Days once. This adds eligible tasks you own that were completed during the same seven-day window shown in the activity chart, including applicable on-time and goal points. It does not import older history, deleted tasks, shared tasks whose historical completing user cannot be verified, or completed tasks imported from Apple Reminders.

Levels are Starting (0), Building (250), Consistent (750), Focused (1,500), Thriving (3,000), Mastery (6,000), and Unstoppable (10,000).

Missing a goal resets its streak but never subtracts points. Configured days off and vacation intervals preserve a streak without increasing it. Goal changes begin at the next local day boundary, and timezone changes affect future activity only.

The Momentum view shows total points, level progress, today and weekly goals, a seven-day completion trend with compact local-day labels, and current and longest streaks.
