Tasks are the heart of TodoTicked. Here's everything you need to know to create and manage your tasks effectively.
Quick Add Task
The fastest way to create a task:
- Click the + Add Task button or press
Qon your keyboard - Type your task title
- Press Enter to save
That's it! Your task is now in your Inbox, ready to be organized.
Adding Task Details
For more detailed tasks, you can add:
Due Date
Set when the task should be completed:
- Click the calendar icon or type a date naturally
- Examples: "tomorrow", "next Monday", "Jan 15"
- TodoTicked understands natural language dates!
Priority
Mark important tasks with priority levels:
- P1 (Red) - Urgent and important
- P2 (Orange) - Important but not urgent
- P3 (Blue) - Nice to have
- P4 (Default) - No specific priority
Click the flag icon or type !1, !2, or !3 while creating a task.
Tags
Organize tasks with tags:
- Click the tag icon to add existing tags
- Type
#tagnameto create and assign a tag - Use multiple tags for better organization
Project
Assign tasks to specific projects:
- Click the project dropdown to choose a project
- Type
#ProjectNameto quickly assign - Leave empty to keep in Inbox
Smart Task Entry
TodoTicked understands natural language. Try typing:
- "Buy groceries tomorrow at 5pm #shopping !2"
- "Call mom every Sunday"
- "Finish report by Friday #work"
The app automatically parses:
- Due dates and times
- Recurring schedules
- Tags
- Priority levels
- Project assignments
Task Actions
Once created, you can:

Subtasks
Break down complex tasks:
- Open a task by clicking it
- Click Add subtask or press

Task Comments
Add notes or updates to tasks:
- Click a task to open it
- Scroll to the Comments section
