You can delete your TodoTicked account yourself, at any time, from any of our apps. Your account is shared across iPhone, Android and the web, so deleting it removes it everywhere.
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You won't be able to restore your account or any of its data. Export anything you want to keep first.
Delete your account from the app
- Open TodoTicked and make sure you're signed in to the account you want to delete
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Enter your password and confirm
If you sign in with Google or Apple, you won't have a password to enter — we confirm your identity with that provider instead.
We ask for your password because it proves the request is really coming from you, and not from someone who picked up an unlocked phone.
Deletion starts immediately and you'll be signed out. We'll email a confirmation to the address on the account once it finishes.
On the web
Go to app.todoticked.com → Settings → Security → Delete account.
What gets deleted
- Your login and authentication records
- Your profile, display name and avatar
- Your tasks, projects, sections and smart filters
- Your notes and note folders
- Your journal entries and journal folders
- Your tags, focus sessions and app preferences
- Files you uploaded, including task attachments and images
- Your notification settings and any scheduled reminders
You'll also stop being able to collaborate on shared projects and teams.
If you own a shared team, ownership passes to another administrator automatically so your teammates keep their work. If you're the only member, the team is deleted along with your account. You don't need to do anything first.
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of information outlives the account:
- Backups — up to 30 days. Residual copies may sit in encrypted backups held by our infrastructure providers until those backups rotate. They aren't reachable from the product.
- A deletion record. We keep a limited record that an account was deleted: the date, which sign-in methods it used, the app version, and how many items existed. It contains no task, note or journal content.
- Billing records. Where you've paid for a subscription, we keep the transaction records tax and accounting law require. Card details live with our payment processor, never with us.
- Fraud and dispute records. We may keep limited records where we need them to resolve a dispute or prevent abuse.
Items already in your recycle bin are purged on their normal schedule, roughly 30 days after you deleted them.
Cancel a store subscription separately
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel that subscription, and you may still be charged when it renews. Cancel it where you bought it:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → TodoTicked → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → TodoTicked → Cancel
Subscriptions billed directly by us are cancelled automatically when the account is deleted.
Export your data first
Deletion can't be undone, so take a copy of anything you want to keep before you start.
In the web app, go to Settings → Security → Export data to download your tasks, notes and journal entries in a portable format.
Delete only some of your data
You don't have to close your account to remove content. Any task, note or journal entry can be deleted on its own, and emptying the recycle bin removes those permanently.
If you'd like us to delete a specific category of data while keeping your account, email privacy@todoticked.com and tell us what to remove.
If you can't sign in
Email privacy@todoticked.com from the address registered to the account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything, and confirm by email once it's done. We aim to complete these within 30 days.
