Performance Issues
If TodoTicked is running slowly, try these fixes.
Quick Fixes
- Refresh the page - Press
Cmd/Ctrl + R - Clear browser cache - Removes old data
- Close other tabs - Free up memory
- Restart the app - Fresh start
Web App Performance
Clear Browser Cache
Chrome:
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Delete- Select "Cached images and files"
- Click "Clear data"
- Refresh TodoTicked
Safari:
- Safari → Clear History
- Select time range
- Click Clear History
Firefox:
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Delete- Select Cache
- Click Clear Now
Browser Extensions
Extensions can slow things down:
- Try TodoTicked in incognito/private mode
- If faster, disable extensions one by one
- Find the problematic extension
- Keep it disabled for TodoTicked
Use Desktop App
The desktop app often performs better:
- Download from todoticked.com/download
- Install and sign in
- Enjoy native performance
Mobile App Performance
Clear App Cache
iOS:
- Delete and reinstall app
- Or Settings → TodoTicked → Clear Cache
Android:
- Settings → Apps → TodoTicked
- Storage → Clear Cache
- Don't clear data (that removes local files)
Update the App
Older versions may have bugs:
- Check App Store/Play Store
- Update to latest version
- Performance fixes included
Large Account Issues
Too Many Tasks
If you have thousands of tasks:
- Archive completed tasks
- Delete old projects
- Use filters to view less data
Many Attachments
Large attachments slow things down:
- Delete unneeded attachments
- Use cloud storage links instead
- Compress large files
Network Issues
Slow Internet
TodoTicked needs good connectivity:
- Test your internet speed
- Try a different network
- Move closer to router
- Contact ISP if persistent
Firewall/VPN
Corporate networks may interfere:
- Try without VPN
- Check firewall settings
- Whitelist todoticked.com
Device Issues
Low Memory
Free up device resources:
- Close unused apps
- Restart your device
- Check available RAM
Old Hardware
Minimum requirements:
- Browser: Chrome 80+, Firefox 75+, Safari 13+, Edge 80+
- iOS: iOS 14 or later
- Android: Android 8 or later
- Desktop: macOS 10.15+, Windows 10+
Advanced Fixes
Reset Local Data
If nothing else works:
- Go to Settings → Advanced
- Click Reset local data
- Sign out and back in
- Data re-syncs from cloud
Report Performance Issues
Help us improve:
- Note what's slow (loading, scrolling, etc.)
- Note when it started
- Contact support with details
- Include device/browser info
Optimization Tips
Keep TodoTicked fast:
- Archive completed projects regularly
- Don't keep 1000s of tasks active
- Use tags instead of many projects
- Keep attachments reasonable
- Stay on updated versions
